Linda Windsor

Linda Windsor writes both historical and contemporary romance at her restored late 18th century home on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Although she lost her husband at Christmas 2004, Windsor has been blessed to still have a house full. In addition to her two children, her mother lives in a mother-in-law wing. There are any number of friends and family always dropping by, usually for meals, and an assortment of stray cats have also made their home at Fort Necke. The key phrase in the Windsor household is "the more the merrier!" Another favorite sign is posted inside, reading "Registered Historical Nut House."

Windsor has written 15 historical romances as Linda Windsor and Linda Covington for Zebra/Pinnacle Books and one contemporary for the late Meteor/Kismet romance line. She also has written an award-winning inspirational Irish Celtic trilogy for Multnomah Publishers called THE FIRES OF GLEANNMARA with Maire, Riona, and Deirdre. Her inspirational contemporary romances, laced with humor and a dash of suspense, have won recognition in both secular and inspiraitonal markets. The latest of Windsor's efforts is the MOONSTRUCK Trilogy, consisting of romantic comedies Paper Moon, Fiesta Moon, and Blue Moon. These are the individual romances of three siblings who become moonstruck in Mexico and find both love and danger. Coming in June 2007 is Windsor's 29th. romantic novel. It's the first of the PIPER COVE CHRONICLES and the launch contemporary romance for Harper Collins new Avon Inspire line--Wedding Bell Blues. In the series, Windsor tells the stories of four very different thirty-something women who have been best friends since high school as each finds her heart's desire and trouble, too, in their ocean-side hometown of Piper Cove.

In addition to writing, Windsor works part time as corporate comptroller in the family business of electric motor sales and service. Yes, she has worked out in the repair shop on motors, grease and all, as well as on computer in the office! After all, she grew up in the business her parent's started almost 50 years ago in an old barn shared with race horses. She can't say her degree in elementary education has exactly furthered either of her careers, unless one counts stimulating her love of books and history. But writing is her love, followed by music. Linda sang and played guitar and keyboard in a country/old rock and roll band in the 80's with her late husband. They had a wonderful life together as heartmates, soulmates and song-mates.
