Peter N. Milligan
For Peter, there is no beach that is too far away, and the water is never too cold anywhere. He is slowly visiting every national park, art museum and zoo in the world. He and his family are walking the entire Appalachian Trail, together in sections. Peter will someday see every Van Gogh painting known to exist. He loves brass ring carousels. On March 30, 2010 he was the first person to ride Dumbo in Disney Land, a task that had been a lifetime goal. As of this writing, Peter has run with the bulls 70 times, sometimes safely, in Pamplona, Spain, and has spent the last decade climbing around the Pyrénées, investigating the Basque beaches, and interrogating locals on where they eat. The annual fiesta de San Fermín (or in Basque, "Sanferminak") is his all-consuming passion. Every July 6 through 14, for the rest of his life, you will know where to find Peter N. Milligan: on the cobblestoned streets of Pamplona. Peter resides in a suburb of Philadelphia, on the Jersey side of the river, and is the co-founder, along with his brother, of the Philadelphia Peña and Taurino Club, which was founded in 1989 in the Echelon Mall Food Court. It is one of sixteen recognized international peñas.
