Jennifer Treacy Cole
You're not supposed to tell the straight truth in these author bios, but I don't know why I shouldn't. I've got nothing to lose... do I? I am a writer. Just because I'm a bit lazy about marketing doesn't mean I'm not a writer. I feel compelled to write, so I write. I complete my work. I revise it, and then I put it in a drawer. I need a "get it done guy" in my life. I have been writing stories and diaries since I was very small. I have written two novels for young adults (including DARK CORNER), a stage play, a screenplay, and countless graduate and undergraduate papers. I hold a master’s in instruction and curriculum with a concentration in English. After eight years with New Jersey Public Schools, I currently teach at Fireside Academy Community Co-op for Homeschoolers. Vantage Learning has published my sample essays, revisions, and writing advice for their interactive computer program: My Access! Clark Public Schools in New Jersey has also published several of my curricula for theatre arts and public speaking. I feel confident in saying that I have expertise in the discussion and analysis of young adult novels. My favorite author? John Steinbeck. My favorite subject? Spooky stuff.
