I began life in Pittsburgh, writing horse stories in goldenrod notebooks. After studying theater and advertising at Northwestern University, I spent my formative years as a copywriter in Manhattan, where I experienced many (good and bad) dates to fuel my novelist imagination, lots of theater and a few martinis. Then I landed in Colorado and accidentally wrote a romance novel (THROWN)--featuring horses, an Olympic rider and a movie star--that became a finalist in the Romance Writers of America's Golden Heart awards. I live near Denver with my actor husband, elegant thoroughbred mare and thoroughly put-upon Portuguese water dog.
