Sharon Dunn first fell in love with mystery and suspense about the time she read Nancy Drew mysteries in the fifth grade. Her country school library had a whole collection of them with pink covers. She began taking herself seriously as a writer when her oldest son was born. About twenty years and three babies later, she is an award winning author of not only humorous mysteries but romantic suspense novels. Her first book in the Ruby Taylor mysteries Romance Rustlers and Thunderbird Thieves was a finalist for the Romantic Times Inspirational Book of the Year. The second book in that series Sassy Cinderella and the Valiant Vigilante was voted Book of the Year by American Christian Fiction Writers. Her first book in the Bargain Hunters series garnered a second place award from ACFW for Book of the Year. Her education makes it look like she couldnít decide what she wanted to be when she grew up. She had degrees in Film Production and History with lots of English and theater classes thrown in the mix. About everything she studied contributed to her becoming a better writer in one way or another.
Sharon is one cat away from being a Crazy Cat Lady (she owns three; you have to have four to be official). She spends her free time with her husband of twenty four years, three teenage children and a very nervous border collie named Bart. Her hobbies include reading, walking, trying to find things around the house and making pets out of the dust bunnies under the furniture. Before she started writing, she used to sew. Now she just collects fabric and patterns and fantasizes about projects.
Most of Sharon Dunnís television veiwing time is devoted to watching British mystery. She loves to watch the Agatha Christie Poirot mysteries starring David Suchet and just about any other British mystery series including The Last Detective and Hetty Wainthropp. Her two new favorites are Wallander and The Sherlock Holmes with a modern setting.
She looks forward to digging into her next romantic suspense for Love Inspired and to hearing from readers.
