Anna Waggener

Anna Waggener was born in Sisaket, Thailand and found her love of travel during the marathon flights that let her spend time in both the US and Thailand. She found her love of books while building library book pirate ships, and she sank herself by reading the walls.

A senior at Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Anna now splits her time between digging her car out of the snow, studying English and human rights, and happily writing YA fantasy. She was the 2008 winner of the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards novel writing category; Grim is her first novel.
