Jeremiah Workman

Sgt Workman was born on August 26, 1983 in Marion Ohio. Prior to graduation from North Union High School in Richwood, Ohio, he enlisted in the Marine Corps on August 28, 2000, and reported for recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina on August, 19, 2001. He graduated on November 16, 2001. Upon graduation, he reported to School Of Infantry at Camp Lejuene, North Carolina where he attained the MOS of 0341 mortarman.

Upon graduation he reported to Marine Corps Security Forces Training Company, Chesapeake, Virginia where he attained the additional MOS of 8152.

In March of 2002, PFC Workman reported for duty at Marine Corps Security Forces Company Kingsbay, Georiga. In May of that same year, PFC Workman was promoted to the rank of Lcpl.

In March 2003 Lcpl Workman was promoted to the rank of Cpl.

From April to May 2003, Cpl Workman attended Corporals Course at Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, South Carolina.

From January to February 2004 Cpl Workman attended Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape (SERE) School at the Mountain Warfare Training Center, Bridgeport, California.

Cpl Workman was then assigned to 3rd Battalion 5th Marines at Camp Pendleton California where he served in Weapons Company, 81's Platoon as a team leader and then as squad leader. In September of 2004 Cpl Workman deployed to Iraq and participated in Operation Phantom Fury.

In February 2005 Cpl Workman attained his current rank of Sgt.

In October 2005 Sgt Workman reported to Drill Instructor School at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina.

Upon completion of Drill Instructor School, Sgt Workman Was ordered to Marine Combat Instructor Of Water Survival School (MCIWS) at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina.

From March 2006 until September 2006 Sgt Workman served as a Drill Instructor with Delta Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion.

In September of 2006 Sgt Workman began his current assignment to Training and Education Center Company, Headquarters and Service Battalion, MCB, Quantico, Virginia.

From October 2006 to November 2006 Sgt Workman Attended Army airborne school at Fort Benning Georgia.

Sgt Workman's personal awards include the Navy Cross Medal, Purple Heart Medal, Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal , and the Combat Action Ribbon.

Sgt Workman is married to the former Miss Jessica N. Jordan of Marion, Ohio. They have one son, Devon who was born on February 21, 2007.
