Matthew Latimer
Matt Latimer served from March 2007 through October 2008 as a White House speechwriter. He also served for three years as Chief Speechwriter and Special Assistant to Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, as Staff Director for the Republican Communications Center, as Communications Director for Senator John Kyle, as Press Secretary and Campaign Manager for Congressman Nick Smith, and as Special Assistant to Senator Spencer Abraham. He has a M.S. from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism and a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School. He makes his home in Alexandria, Virginia.
