Jehan Sadat
Jehan Sadat, Ph.D., is a Senior Fellow with the Anwar Sadat Chair for Peace and Development at the University of Maryland, College Park. A lifelong activist for women's rights, literacy, and humanitarian causes worldwide, she has received more than twenty honorary doctoral degrees and a number of prestigious international awards, including the Eleanor Roosevelt Award from the United Nations Association of San Francisco and UNICEF's Children's Champion Award. Mother of four and grandmother of eleven, she lives in Virginia and Egypt.
