L. A. Starks
For author L. A. Starks, a career in the oil industry from oil refineries to corporate offices prepared her to write 13 Days: the Pythagoras Conspiracy, about a plot to sabotage Gulf Coast oil refineries. Starks was born in Boston, Massachusetts, grew up in northern Oklahoma, and lives and works in Texas. With positions in engineering, marketing, planning, and finance, and her close observation of the energy industry since earning her magna cum laude degree in chemical engineering from Tulane University and her MBA in finance from the University of Chicago, she has also written technical articles and contributed expert opinion editorials.
