Crystal Woodman Miller
At age sixteen, Crystal Woodman Miller began to explore the meaning of life in the face of death, as she discovered the reality that tomorrow is no guarantee. She preferred to view life as a gift, and an opportunity, rather than a cruel and unfair joke. With that revelation she has set out to live life to the fullest! Since then, she has found her identity not in the things that matter to this world, but in the light of the One who offers hope and salvation. As a result, her journey has been difficult, but also full of immense joy! Equipped with a servant’s heart and a survivor’s testimony, Crystal is a full-time speaker and author who devotes her life to sharing her extraordinary message of hope to thousands upon thousands of people both domestically and internationally. Although not exclusively, Crystal leverages the events of Columbine as a platform to inspire others to live boldly in the face of their own difficult circumstances. Crystal’s debut book, titled Marked For Life, was published by NavPress (Colorado Springs) in April 2006 and details her triumphant and inspirational journey past the pain of Columbine. Her goal is to inspire others to live well despite their own suffering. Crystal has received attention for her poise in the aftermath of the massacre, becoming a regular speaker for community events, high school assemblies, church gatherings, and cause-related rallies across the United States and abroad. She has appeared on The Today Show, Good Morning America, CNN and the Billy Graham Evangelical Association’s 2005 national broadcast, which aired a five-minute segment profiling her compelling testimony. Crystal currently serves as the featured speaker for the 180 Tour with national recording artist Casting Pearls, an assembly speaker with Rachel’s Challenge, an associate evangelist with Dare2Share Ministries, a national spokesperson for Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan’s Purse, as well as her own speaking ministry. Her message is universally well-received, as evidenced by Crystal’s positive impact in locales stretching from London to El Salvador, from Hungary to Africa, from Russia to Indonesia. In 2004, Crystal earned a bachelor’s degree from Barclay College. A lifelong resident of Littleton, Colorado, she and her husband, Pete Miller, now reside in Edmond, Oklahoma, where Pete works for an oil and gas company called Plain Marketing LP.
