    Pseudonym for P.B. Ryan.

Louisa Burton is a painter, writer, and collector of rare books who travels extensively, but whose home is in New York. She is a lifelong devotee of Victorian erotica, history, and mythology.

Of particular interest to Louisa are the beings known by demonologists and mythologists as sexual demons: incubi, succubi, satyrs, djinn, and vampires, among others. It was this interest that inspired her to create an alternate reality in which four such beings live in a secluded French chateau, where they satisfy their irrepressible carnal urges through liaisons with houseguests.

This dark and sensual world, which is explored in depth on Louisa's website, is the setting for the Hidden Grotto series, beginning with HOUSE OF DARK DELIGHTS. Each book in the series is a collection three or four stories set in different time periods, linked by threads that pull them together into an epic tale of erotic passion.

Louisa also writes the Gilded Age historical mystery series as P.B. Ryan, and has authored seventeen award-winning medieval and contemporary romances as Patricia Ryan.
