Kay Austin
Kay Austin is a displaced Southern belle and keeper of the
secret recipe for Cornelia Love’s pecan pralines. She
currently lives in the Pacific Northwest rainforest in the
shadow of a snoozing volcano, Mt. Rainier. As the
great-granddaughter of a Civil War veteran who survived
Pickett's Charge and daughter of a sassy Army nurse bride
and a WWII vet who survived Guadalcanal, Kay believes her
passion for life and telling stories is genetic. She is a
historian and world traveler with shopping skills in five
languages and merit badges for mastering the subways in New
York, Paris, and London. Kay and her husband--her very own
Time Rogue--are real life adventurers who have endured
volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, wooden roller-coasters, and
the insatiable demands of four and a half cats. Kay is
currently working on her next book, and brushing up on
Italian for her next trip to Pompeii.
