Alex Dupuy
Alex Dupuy is the author of Haiti in the World Economy:
Class, Race, and Underdevelopment Since 1700 (1989); of
Haiti in the New World Order: The Limits of the Democratic
Revolution (1997); and many articles on Haiti and the
Caribbean in scholarly journals and anthologies. He is a
specialist on Haiti, and his research and teaching interests
are in theories of development and social change in the
Caribbean, globalization, and Caribbean migration and
culture change in the United States. He is a Professor of
Sociology at Wesleyan University
