When Diane Gaston was a little girl, she thought everyone made up romantic stories in their heads. When she grew up, she became a county mental health therapist, listening to true life stories. She married and raised a daughter and son. During a lull in her busy life, Diane decided to write those stories in her head, making a world of new friends in the process. Then her life changed with a phone call from England and an offer to buy her Romance Writers of America Golden Heart winner, The Mysterious Miss M. Since then Diane's A Reputable Rake won the RITA for Best Regency Romance and The Mysterious Miss M won the National Readers Choice Award. When not writing, Diane enjoys emailing with her friends and traveling to England for "research." Now writing full time for Harlequin Historical and Mills & Boon Historical, Diane lives in Virginia with her husband and three very ordinary house cats.
